Hormonal Changes Can Result in Alterations of Vision
Many are unaware that hormonal changes in the body can result in alterations of vision. Commonly evident in women, changes in estrogen and progesterone may affect oily glands in the lids with resultant dry eyes; also cornea elasticity modification causes refractive changes with blur. Thyroid hormone can result in vision changes, and puberty stage in teens may be a factor affecting visual acuity.
